Kate is the Head of Sales at NexBotix and is responsible for the growth and revenue of our business. Customer-obsessed, Kate’s role means ensuring constant alignment across sales, marketing, product and delivery, to ensure every customer engagement is outstanding. As part of the founding team of NexBotix, she saw first hand that enterprise-grade automation solutions were a poor fit for the mid-market, so was quick to join the team who created the initial NexBotix concept. Here Kate explains why NexBotix was the natural next step for her career and her hopes for the future of the business.
Where were you before NexBotix?
Previously I worked at Camwood, our founding company, helping business both transform applications estates and provide traditional Robotic Process Automation. In this time, I worked with DHL in transforming their processes in supply chain, won a contract with a major government agency to provide services to transform to Windows 10, and supported the delivery of services to a large city council. Although my time was predominately focused on applications, I was really drawn to and loved all things automation. At Camwood our traditional approach to delivering RPA enabled the team and I to think about how this could be improved and that’s when NexBotix was born. I spent my time at Camwood working on the commercial side but also running my own discovery workshops with clients to build out specific business automation use cases.
Why did you join the NexBotix team?
I’m extremely passionate about all things automation, so it was a natural step for me when my Camwood colleagues and I created the concept for a platform to enable easy adoption of RPA and AI. The traditional delivery of RPA meant businesses weren’t scaling, innovating, or even looking at further automation. Traditional delivery holds a business back and can be extremely costly, thus NexBotix was formed on these core foundations. So, when the opportunity arose to join NexBotix officially as the Head of Sales, I jumped at the chance to continue the work we’d be doing and to be a part of a team with a shared goal, to change the adoption of automation.

What is your favourite thing about working at NexBotix?
Every day is different and my role is very hands-on. I’m constantly interacting with different customers from all walks of life all facing different challenges. It definitely keeps me on my toes but makes my job so enjoyable. I’m passionate about creating the best possible experience for customers, and it’s one of the reasons why I’ve been in sales for so long. I love that I’m surrounded by hard-working and passionate people, who are all working with a common goal in mind, to disrupt the Intelligent Automation industry with our accessible, agile, and powerful solutions, built to unleash human potential.
Where do you see the Intelligent Automation market in the next 5 years?
I believe that in 5 years, no longer will the terms ‘Intelligent Automation’, ‘RPA’, and ‘AI’ be unheard of to businesses, and the term ‘Automation first’, just like ‘Internet first’ will be become the mindset for many. The world of work is changing and there is an increasing need for digital transformation as a result of Covid-19. I see a growing need for Intelligent Automation in all industries and across verticals, NexBotix will play a huge role in this. Even before the pandemic solutions such as RPA had been around for a while, but this will morph and change into a commonly known solution due to early adopters and large vendors showing interest in the market, such as Microsoft.
What is the unique skill you bring to the NexBotix team?
My drive and passion, instilled in me from a young age, drives me to strive for the best. Automation is most definitely my passion, it comes easy to me and every day I look to ensure NexBotix is a success. As I’ve been here from the very start, helping navigate, lead, and drive the business forward, every day I empower my team to do their best work, delivering excellent customer and client satisfaction. The customer is King!
